Join us for a Rain Garden Workshop hosted at the Hatfield Township Nature Area and learn how to manage those pesky wet areas in your yard - including how to install a beautiful and functional backyard rain garden.
Rain gardens are shallow, bowl-shaped gardens designed to capture rainwater and allow it to slowly soak into the ground rather than becoming polluted runoff. Planted with deep-rooted native species, these gardens can handle both wet and dry conditions while providing valuable habitat for pollinators and wildlife.
Our Director of Conservation will lead you through the process of designing, installing and maintaining a backyard rain garden so you can confidently create your own at home!
