Join us for a rain garden workshop hosted at the Hatfield Township Nature Area and learn how to manage those pesky wet areas in your yard - including how to install a beautiful and functional backyard rain garden.

Fall Native Plant Sale!
Fall in love with native plants during the Fall Native Plant Sale!!! This is your chance to grab some locally grown native plant species that support pollinators, create wildlife habitat, and beautify your outdoor spaces! Dozens of species of native grasses and herbaceous perennials will be available. A small selection of Conservancy grown trees will also be available.

Online Silent Auction Open for Bidding!
The Online Silent Auction opens on the Conservancy’s website today!! The Silent Auction is one of the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s major fundraisers of the year. Proceeds support our environmental education classes, streambank restorations, stream clean-ups, outdoor recreation events, and more!

New Hanover Lawn to Garden Workshop
Join us to discover the wonders of native plants, their numerous benefits and how to choose the perfect species for your yard!
The harmful impacts of “lawn culture” will be discussed along with different methods and tips for reducing lawn area and increasing native garden space on your property. Learn how native plants can support pollinators and wildlife, improve soil and water quality, and create a beautiful, low-maintenance landscape.

The Bats in your Backyard
Want to learn more about bats? Join us for an evening of wonder as we learn about these incredible creatures of the night!
Our educator Jeff will help you separate fact from fiction, dispelling some of the many myths that persist about these misunderstood animals. You’ll learn what bats live in PA, some of the threats they face, and why they are so important to our ecosystems. After a presentation about bats and their natural history, you’ll meet one of the rehabilitated ambassador bats!
Tuesday, October 6th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
This program will be held indoors at the Conservancies headquarters, 1 Skippack Pike. This program will involve live animals, and is suitable for families with children ages 4 +

Rambles at Ringing Rocks
Should rocks ring? Are you looking to look to learn a little bit about local geologic history? Are you in need of an autumnal visit to a woods or a waterfall? If any of the above sounds interesting to you, please join us at Ringing Rocks Park in Upper Black Eddy, Bridgeton Township, Bucks County, for a geology walk, some geologic history and context, and a pleasant morning of tapping rocks with hard object to hear them ring.
Our educator Tristan will provide geologic context for the area and lead a short tour of select geologic features there.
Saturday, October 17th, we will meet at 9:00 am at the main parking area in Ringing Rocks Park, 1750 Ringing Rocks Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972
Notes:
We encourage you to bring an appropriate object or objects to tap the rocks with. The rocks do not need to be struck with much force to ring. That said, we recommend bringing something that won’t be hurt by inclement weather, or for which it would not be disastrous if the object were to fall down between boulders and never be seen again.
Traditionally, a good hammer for hitting rocks is made of a solid piece of tempered steel, such as a one-piece steel masonry hammer.
Please wear appropriate clothing for conditions. Geologists can be hardy folk, so a little light weather may not require cancellation of the event. Sensory Night Hike
How do our animal friends navigate in the dark? How do their senses compare to our own? Join us as we investigate these questions and explore the world of nocturnal critters.
Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather on the day, wear sturdy shoes you don’t mind potentially getting muddy, and bring a flashlight/headlamp.

Night Hike & Moth Survey
Join the Conservancy for an evening of adventure at Dragonfly Farm at Reiff Park! Attendees will participate in a guided night hike around Reiff Park while using LED blacklights to spot insects inhabiting the park in their natural habitat! Please bring a headlamp or flashlight! After our stroll, participants will get to enjoy two mothing stations equipped with special mothing lights and sheets. Bring your headlamp, camera, and sense of adventure!
Paddle Board Yoga @ Deep Creek

Best Address: 613 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969. Please park here in the lot off of Meeting House Rd. The pond where we will be working is down the hill on Meeting House Rd, behind Bryce's detailing.
Volunteers will be helping to hand-pull an invasive aquatic plant from a privately owned pond. Wading into the pond or kayaking / canoeing is necessary in order to access the plants. Some waders and boats will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own boat or waders if they have them! Please make sure to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and wet. Bring plenty of water and a lunch with you.

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to build and install a rain barrel at home! Each participant will leave with a fully assembled rain barrel, ready to install and start using right away.

Native Plant & Herb Gardening for Butterflies Workshop
Participants will learn about a variety of native plant and herb species that specifically support local butterflies! Learn about which native plant and herb species you can plant together in your garden to support butterflies in all of their life stages! Participants will sow two different types of seeds, dill seeds and golden Alexander seeds, in two inch containers to grow for their gardens.
