This programming aligns with multiple Pennsylvania STEELS Standards.
Water Dynamics - How Goes the Stream?
How much water is in a stream? Why does it matter? Students will collect and interpret field data to answer these questions - and will have opportunities to think about the bigger picture including flooding. This fully immersive experience asks at least some participants to wade in the stream for data collection (all are welcome to wade). Conservancy waders will be available!
Land Dynamics - Understanding
the Landscape
Around You
This active field experience immerses students in a variety of terrestrial environments, allowing them to explore and learn about several habitat types, land management strategies, plant communities, and local pollinators. Students will utilize a map and dichotomous key to guide their team through Dragonfly Farm while finding clues that reveal a secret message.
