The Conservancy will now be hosting regular volunteer work days at the Arcola Island! These work days will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm every other Friday, starting on April 12th.  

Join us for tree maintenance on Friday, April 12th and April 26th, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Arcola Island. Please note, there is no on-site parking for the Island at this time. Volunteers will need to park up the road and carpool down to the Arcola Island pull off. Only two vehicles can fit in the pull off. Volunteers should park at Stella's Way off of Level Road. The best address for the parking is 3796 Stella's Way, Collegeville, 19426. Please park along the street. Volunteers will meet Conservancy staff at Stella's Way and organize carpooling from there. 

Arcola Island maintenance work day activities will include tree maintenance. This will involve tubing, pruning, staking, and weeding around trees trunks as needed. Please note, the Island is a several minute walk from the pull off area. Please wear clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting dirty or wet and that you can walk on uneven terrain in. A small feeder stream must be crossed to assess the Island. All necessary tools will be provided. No experience needed! This work day will be held weather permitting. If the work day is canceled due to weather, Beth Myers will email you.
