Summer Science Academy features science-based day camp programs for children ages three through 6th grade. If you child enjoys spending time outdoors and learning about about nature, they will love summer camp at the Conservancy! All camps are held at the Conservancy's Brownstone Barn.
In order to make our camps consistent with state and local regulations and requirements and to ensure the health and safety of our campers and staff we will be following some new procedures this year.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be made for cancellations after May 31, 2020. Cancellations on or before May 31 will quality for an 80% refund. Should it become necessary to to cancel or reschedule summer camp programs due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you will be offered a refund for your registration fee (minus the credit card processing fee)
Exploring the East Branch Creek- Full
Single day adventure for students who have completed Kindergarten - 4th grade!
Just can’t get enough of the creek? Grab your water shoes and head down to the stream with us to learn about plants and animals in the stream community! Spend the morning with your feet and hands in the water and the afternoon learning about animals who depend on the creek each day. Through active explorations, games, songs, books and crafts, we will take the day to examine this most incredible ecosystem.
Bring your brown bag lunch and a drink, your extra dry clothes and a towel.
Time: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Fee: $30 Members/$40 Nonmembers

Summer Explorers - Water, Water Everywhere
For students who have completed Kindergarten - 3rd grade
The amazing water molecule is the focus of this year’s explorations! We will experiment with water in its three states, search for water in the foods we eat, examine life in the Perkiomen Creek, perform a water cycle skit, create your own watershed model and much more! Count of getting wet!
Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Fee: $120 Members/$150 Nonmembers

August 3-7, 2020
Students who have completed 2nd or 3rd grade (choose one week):
July 13-17, 2020
August 10-14, 2020
Summer Afield - Habitats- Full
For students who have completed 4th - 6th grade
Become an expert on area habitats as we explore the forest, venture into the field, compare a pond with a stream, and locate an ecotone! Fun is guaranteed as we travel “afield” investigating these diverse natural areas.
Please note that the first half day session of Summer Afield was canceled, so we have made a half day or full day option for the July session.

Time: Choose 9:30 am-12:30 pm or 9:30 am-3:30 pm
Fee: $200 Members/ $240 Non-Members for full day- 9:30-3:30
$120 Members/ $150 Non-Members for half day- 9:30 to 12:30
We also offer a summer service learning opportunity for students who have completed grades 7-12. Apply to be a Summer Assistant.
