Winter Wildflower Walk

Saturday, January 16, 2016

Time:  9:30 am
Location: Perkiomen Trail/Cedar Rd.

Fee:  Free

Presenter:  Link Davis

Sharpen your identification skills and strengthen your connections with the unique diversity of plant life found in the Perkiomen Creek Watershed.  We'll stroll into the world of winter wildflowers, seeking out our 'old friends' and identifying their form and structure.  Moving through the landscape, rich with textures and patterns, we will learn about the lifecycles of local annuals and perennials.  Sturdy footwear/warm layers recommended.

About the Presenter: Link Davis presented programs to hundreds of students each year as a science teacher in the Norristown School District.  When his attention was captured by the fascinating world of insects, Link's study and knowledge developed into new programming which he shared with a host of students throughout the southeastern region of Pennsylvania.  Currently Link's deep appreciation for wildflowers has made him the Conservancy's favorite wildflower walk leader!
