We believe that active free play in nature stimulates healthy sensory and motor development in our children.

This fall, the Conservancy is running a few pilot sessions of an after-school nature play program we’d like to unveil in the spring of 2018.  We believe that nature play encourages children to take risks, make friends, solve problems, create imaginary scenarios, and develop a world-view based on personal revelation. With these sentiments in mind, we are offering five guided pilot sessions starting in September and concluding with one full-week session in October. The program is designed for children in preschool through third grade. Come for one session or come for them all. Stay with your child or drop them off. All programs are rain or shine! Feel free to contact me at rbeltz@perkiomenwatershed.org for more information.
