Conservation and Outdoor Maintenance Volunteers

Annual Stream Clean-up (September 24, 2016 at 9am) - help remove trash from waterways at sites throughout the watershed.

Poison Ivy Removal (Spring to Fall) - We have numerous education programs that involve the examination and occasional picking of leaves. Our youngest children make tea and potpourri and our elementary school aged children use the leaves to look for evidence of consumers. Poison ivy has been popping up on some of the trails that we use for these activities and we need a poison ivy free zone!

PWC Grounds Maintenance (Spring to Fall) - We are looking for some energetic volunteers to help us make our gardens and grounds look their best!

Invasive European Water Chestnut Removal (Summer) - Don't mind getting wet?  We need volunteers to help pull these invasive plants out of local ponds and streams sometimes from sitting in a canoe and other times to just walking along the water's edge.

Native Tree Planting (Summer and Fall) - Play outside digging holes, weeding and planting trees and other native plants.

Handyperson (ongoing) - Do you like fixing things, have a specialty you would like to share such as plumbing or electrical work?  We would love to have you join our crew of handy people to help out around the Conservancy Brownstone Barn.
