Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy
Annual Environmental Awards
Nomination Form
The Conservancy is looking for a few good projects, people and organizations whose deeds in protecting or improving the Perkiomen Watershed merit public recognition. To be eligible, nominees or nominated projects must be located within the 362 square mile Perkiomen Watershed, comprised of all or part of 57 municipalities within Montgomery, Bucks, Berks and Lehigh Counties.
Awards will be given in the categories listed below, although candidates may not be selected in every category. Awards will be presented at the The Conservancy's Annual Awards Banquet in October. All nominations will be judged by site visits or interviews performed by The Conservancy Events Committee. Anyone may make a nomination using this form.

Award Categories
MUNICIPAL: A municipality or municipal agency within the watershed that has made a significant contribution to improving or preserving the Perkiomen Creek Watershed (for example, through environmentally sensitive open space acquisitions, natural resources protection zoning, watershed planning or private-public partnerships).

LAND USE: An individual, organization or project that has contributed to improving or preserving the Perkiomen Creek Watershed and that exemplifies responsible land use and stewardship that is protective of water quality and the natural environment.

CORPORATE: A corporation that has demonstrated a commitment to or improvement of the Perkiomen Creek Watershed by accomplishments such as exemplary corporate environmental management or outstanding support of community watershed activities or initiatives.

ADVOCATE OF THE WATERSHED: A non-profit, service organization or community group that has made a significant contribution to improving or preserving the Perkiomen Creek Watershed.

FRIEND OF THE WATERSHED: An individual who has made a significant contribution to improving or preserving the Perkiomen Creek Watershed.
|
KIDS MAKING A DIFFERENCE: An individual or group of individuals under 18 years of age who has made a significant contribution to the improving or preserving the Perkiomen Creek Watershed (i.e. Scouts, Environmental Club, Service Club)

TEACHING EXCELLENCE: A teacher who demonstrates a keen awareness of, understanding about and commitment to the natural world. Recognized by peers as an outstanding teacher/learner, this individual possesses the skills required to initiate change in a student's perspective about their dependence upon the natural systems.
