Betty Rae McKie Betty Rae McKie

Betty Rae McKie is a resident of Audubon, PA, with her husband, Fred.  Their two grown children have left the "nest."

With over 22 years in education, Betty Rae holds a BA in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Certification.  She has been an outstanding member of the PWC community for over 5 years.

When asked what brought her to PWC, Betty Rae answered:
"As a pre-school teacher, I experienced an awesome lesson taught by Trudy Phillips, Director of Education at PWC. I was so impressed with the program, I joined her staff to combine two of my passions: children and the environment.  I truly believe today's children are environmentally deprived. Every part of them benefits from immersion in the natural world. So my goal is to help as many children as possible make that connection. "

Her favorite thing about working at PWC is exploring the environment with children and seeing the joy of discovery on their faces.

Betty Rae loves to travel and experience the wonders of the natural world in diverse locations. On vacations, she has traveled to Africa, Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean islands, and she has participated in mission trips with her church to Belize and Peru.
